Leah is a beautiful long coat black and red female, that was born, raised, trained, and earned her V rating in Poland. Leah has excellent structure and a very thick solid build. She has amazing movement, a perfect top- line and moves like the wind. (“V”: Excellent is a rating category that must be used only for the “total package” excellent training, performance, and importantly excellent dog if we are to maintain the “breed”)
Since arriving at WindRidge in 2023 she has adapted quickly and is enjoying being a family & ranch dog. Always delighted to go on outings exploring our property, she truly enjoys exploring all the new locations and experiences with her human family. She is always excited to see everyone and quick to say hi, get pets and leave a kiss. While meeting new people, male dogs, and puppies of all ages, Leah is calm, confident, joyful and she has been known to gently jump up and give hugs when asked. Leah likes to play with the other dogs but when people are around you can be sure that she will be right there with them no matter what else the other dogs are doing. She is super focused on people and lives to do anything they ask of her.
While she is a super fun-loving, loyal, and playful adult that takes everything in excepting stride. She is quiet, easy to handle, quick to learn with her willing temperament, incredible confidence, and knowledgeable experienced manners, she also knows when to turn off her energy to be calm and serious.

Xykar has retired
Burning Man of WindRidge, call name of "Xykar" has officially retired from our WindRidge breeding program. He has been neutered, is UTD on his yearly vaccinations, rabies, preventive and was recently groomed.
DOB 7/16/2018, from our Native Son Of WindRidge (Sonny) and Jule Von Der Friedrichskluft (Jules) litter. Xykar has the following OFA Certifications: Eyes Normal, Cardiac Normal, Hips Good, Elbows Normal, DM Normal (N/N) by DNA, VWD1 Normal by DNA, Thyroid normal, Embark Cleared. Coat Color: K Locus: Ky'Ky, RALY: N'N, Intensity intermediate red pigmentation, A Locus: AT'AT (black and tan saddle pattern), Coat Length: GT stock coat carrying long coat.
Xykar has a tremendous desire to please his human pack. He loves to participate with his humans, whether it be play, training, or protection as needed. His gentle character and correct temperament are offset when it's time to work. He is focused with excellent ball drive and correct prey drive. Over the years, Xykar's puppies have been welcome additions to several loving, active, working, training, and therapy homes.
Additional information: Xykar is 3rd generation at WindRidge, a grandson of Champion Bismark Tecumseh. A robust dog with a solid presence and exceptional correct overall type, Xykar is a stately, confident, powerful male. This healthy, stunning adult stud has strong, masculine bone structure including a huge gorgeous and expressive head. He has consistently passes these desirable traits to his progeny.
His ideal retirement home is a semi active retired adult human or family with GSD experience-preferably an owner with an adult or teen aged female. As top sire/stud at WindRidge, although now neutered, he will not tolerate another male dog in his family. He does exceptionally well and enjoys playing with female dogs of all ages. He has always lived in a country setting, with 10 acres of room to run, swim, explore while watching over his humans and property. He is active but in no way high drive or hyperactive, he is naturally protective -not aggressive, he is very content and confident in following, watching, exploring and enjoys relaxing-down time with his human pack. He travels very well but enjoys being home and spending time with his human and canine pack.
Xykar prefers adult women over men and loves to play with human teenagers-due to his size he is not a match for apartment living, young inexperienced GSD owner or families with children under 12 years of age. On our farm he has had extremely limited exposure with pet cats, bunnies or birds. He has had zero issues with our horses, sheep and Alpaca.
